My partner recommended mixTogether whilst I was in India, I was in an interracial relationship for the first time,my OH is African and I am of Indian background.I was searching for support forums or blogs, but I was in for a shock.... as there were very few positive options on the internet,and the few forums I came across ...would be judgemental... also rather than encourage support for people on the issue,all I got was discouragement.
Mix together came in as pleasant surprise, I could speak about anything under the sun, most importantly I was not judged.
There were many moments where I was confused, I would post sharing my concerns and both the admins and members would provide moral support and suggest ways around things, sharing their personal experiences.
I also was provided with information on Indian support centres,in India,their contact details.... just incase something were to go wrong when I was with my family.
So here I am now, with my family now aware of the situation, and taking it well.
