Possible honour killing....?

This is sooo sad....Ive not heard of this event yet...no doubt this will be known about in english papers?

A British sikh from the Ubhi name ...thats a first..for a ramgharia....this community will either be in shock..or woken to the truths...its supposedly a very modern community that doesn't believe that these things happen....

Amrit died of strangulation.Her father is in custody.

Is this due to a relationship with a white or muslim man in the armed forces?

Details about this one seem thin on the ground at the moment, whether that's down to this being kept under wraps by the community or whether it is due to a genuine lack of anything concrete is not known.  A friend of mine from the Telford area was telling me about an honour killing near her, I'm just wondering if it's this one that she was referring to.  I've sent her a message about it, will see what she says.

Just found out from my mate that this was the same case she was telling me about a few weeks ago.  Trying to work out who this Armed Forces guy was that the girl was seeing, will let you know when I know more.

Its sad that a young life has been taken for appharent no reason!
This is the reason why we need to create more awareness amongst both asian and non asian communities.

Such young girls do not know whats coming and get killed. Its absolute shocker when you own flesh and blood could do that! in the name of 'Honour'

AC...this one worries me..this murder...and I think Dev is right .somehow they are keeping it hushed...just like the silence in that very private community about honour issues...there are lots of leads on internet to the father and Amrit also.

Id really like to look at the background of all this and what happens in this cas in future..it will have a major impact how they treat women from this group...what a waste of a beautiful young woman.

AC fingers crossed this message reaches to her boyfriend. It should all come out in open else it will be difficult to prosecute a murderer who unfortuntely is her father.
