Hi All

Thought I would share my experiences with you all. I found mixtogther when i met my partner as i was struggling to deal with being in a relationship with an Indian man when we had to keep our relationship a secret from his family.

We were together for two years before he told his family about me and as much as I respected his decision to not tell them it did put a strain on our relationship.

When i finally met them all was well and they accepted our relationship. I am pleased to say that we are now engaged and getting married next year so I would be interested to hear about people's experiences of planning a wedding that incorporates two cultures!

The forum has been so helpful and i really am grateful for the support and advice I've had and if anyone is going through the same thing I would be happy to provide advice.

Wow tigerlily!!! After all that time (just reread your posts) you have finally got such a positive result. Reslly made up for you. So is everything moving along nicely for you both now everything is out in the open.

There are several ppl getting married soon and who have recently had weddings so I'm sure plenty of advice and suggestions can be shared.
